Who even am I, anyway?

Hi, I’m Sarina! A 20-something New Hampshire native who’s obsessed with travel, fangirling over All The ThingsTM, and eating copious amounts of soy sauce with my Korean BBQ.

I first decided I wanted to be an author as a child and no matter how far life tried to take me away from writing, stories imprinted themselves in my DNA from the day I was born and refused to let me go.

To me, writing is like travel.

It requires curiosity, empathy, and a willingness to be bold (along with a more optional flare for the dramatic).

No one story can ever show you the whole world, but through the thousands of stories out there, we can catch a small glimpse—and make our own worlds a little bigger and brighter along the way.

If that sounds like it’s up your alley, then grab your passport, your wallet, and whatever else you take on a trip with you, and scroll down for a little journey through some of my favorite things!

Voices of the Future Vol. 4: The Poet Who Lived on Pickpocket Lane

Elias Thornbury hasn’t written poetry in a year. Not since his wife, Rosa, passed away. His poems bring memories to life, and he’s not ready for that kind of pain. Then his six-year-old daughter, Nina, asks for a birthday poem. Just like the ones Elias used to write when their family was whole.

Desperate to find new inspiration so his poem doesn’t hurt Nina, Elias embarks on a journey through London. But as memories of Rosa haunt his every step, he must decide whether to continue suppressing his grief, or face it, and realize it’s been love all along.

If you’re a crazy dreamer like me…
